Blabber mouth B!@+cH

Sometimes… I really wonder how you got to where you are and what you are today. Giving your subordinates false hopes and sharing your useless experiences and your crappy views are about the only things you are capable of… I heard of woman bosses from hell’s stories but i don’t give 2 shit about it. But never in my freaking working life would I thought that it will happen to me. Not saying those female are not worthy to be superiors but… i think you are the epitome of disgrace.

I wish I can say it in your face….

2008 Xmas

While others are drinking, drinking and counting down da final  seconds to from Xmas eve to Xmas day, I was inside a cinema watching the latest Jim Carrey show, ” Yes Man”. Basically to me it feels like an inspirational show. The show is about a guy whos trying to pick himself up after a failed marriage. Funny scenes and witty lines along the way. Nice or not… up to you la…

Anways, on Xmas day itself… which we have absolutely nothing to do, I’ve decided to pay the northern side a visit…………

Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve….. (soon ngai or Sungay)

25122008143

Which we had planned to go the longest time to go but each and every time…. failed miserably due to rain or just plain lazy. Since she got a 4 wheeler from her relatives… so “What the Heck!! Let’s GO!!”

The drive took about 40mins. Haven’t explore this part of the island… i have yet to explore. Its quite an experience i must say. You don’t wake up on Xmas day morning and tell your partner ” Hey! Lets go to some swamp!!”

Beautiful Usher welcoming.

Beautiful Usher welcoming.

(Sorry baby,  just look so funny… ok everyone… thats NOT an Usher. Its my girlfriend!)

There were other interesting places around the nature reserve itself. There is a fish farm which we went in to check it out.

The tank smells like they all farted at the same time.

Me love u long time...

This place provide fish feed mostly at $2 for a small packet. Depending on what type of fish u feeding. They even provide the much raved about FISH SPA for 30mins at only $10!!! Cool or what! but we didnt try due to time contraint. They oso have this small corner for small children to catch Long Gang fish. Long Gang Fish is simply the fish you find in drains. Activities like that existed in my time in the early eighties.

So…off we go after all that Hoo Haa…
25122008122

Didnt try to take a lots pictures cause i’m just frustrated with the quality of the photos.

25122008124
Actually, there is nothing much over there but if your a nature lover and want to get away from the daily normal routine, Sungei Buloh is a place of tranquil. Animals ,insects and whole lot of mosquitoes. Bascially, its just a mangrove swamp. If you want a breathe of greenery and all naTuRel…aroma… u can consider going.

There u go… Animals…
I was hoping to see one of these

I was hoping to see one of these

And a whole lot of knee pit biting mosquitoes~
25122008139

We forgot to bring insect repellent. So this is the price she have to pay on my behalf because my legs are too hairy to let any mosquitoes fly in. Tee~Hee~
Remember to bring if you thinking of going.

Some kinda HugeAss Lizard.

Some kinda HugeAss Lizard.

My elder bro scream like a school girl if he sees this….

I was just imagining that if we were stuck in the middle of a forest when there are no more sunlight and getting cold… immediately I thought of… we are so near Msia and such forested area… we might jus run into Ms Pontianak…
Nooo... pontianak don't look like that~

Nooo... pontianak don't look like that~

Lucky we didn’t run into any of those things…

But hey!! Look!!… there is a squirrel up there!!
Me trying to do a travolta...

She thinks I am spoiling the tranquility….and wasnt please about it.
Hmphf....

Hmphf....

Apparently, Sungei Buloh has 130 Ha of swamps, mudflats, ponds and secondary forest. Home to many unique plants and animals. There are a 3 routes for u to follow… total about 15km. Prepare insect repellent i repeat.
Weekdays are free : 730am to 7pm. Free entry except Sat and Sundays and public holiday. For a mere $1.00, you can feel like the swamp thing.
Tip: Dress comfortably i nneutral colors, shoes is strongly recommended. And bring drinking water and insect repellent and binoculars.
“Take nothing but photographs
Leave nothing but footprints
Don’t bring pets, radio, loudhailers or bicycles.
Do not Smoke
Keep to walking Routes.”

So we left after an hour or two cos of hunger… all these nature is making the predator in us to surface…
Exit is apparently hell down below...

Over all… its quiet but not so ordinary xmas for us. I will try to come again to explore… But suggested to drive or ride here… cos the bus frequency is about 20mins interval.

Lunch at JB

Wasn’t a planned trip but for those whom haven’t go to JB so the longest time, travelling by car or bike, the roads had changed quite abit. Almost lost my way there. The humps over at Msia’s customs are getting more and much higher!!! Within a stretch of 15m, there were 4 freakin HUMPS!!

Humps that are not suitable for running over with ur cars or bikes.

Humps that are not suitable for running over with ur cars or bikes.

It was  trip that we didn’t regret. The food was Magnificent!
Begger's Chicken

Begger's Chicken

This dish is simply mouth watering. The dirt at the side is used to wrapped the packaging that wraps all the flavours and smell of 20 different herbs. The meat ofthe chicken marries the herbs giving birth to a sweet ambrosia. The texture of the chicken is soft and it feels like the meat will just melt in your mouth…. Best of all… its only 24RM for a whole chicken!!

Next on the menu was their famous Malaysian Bak Kut Teh…

Bak kut teh on the left. (Nokia E71 camera SUCKS)

Bak kut teh on the left. (Nokia E71 camera SUCKS)

Their Bak kut teh… is quite normal… nothing much to rav about except for one pot like that… is only RM 7!! Freaking S$3.50 max. For that kinda price..i can only buy a bowl of mee pok. This place is opposite holiday plaza only… So can try to look it up.

Will definitely return for more…

One word….DeLickious!!

A not so happening match…

Let’s see… its abt 14?-15 years ago? since I stepped into the National Stadium to watch a soccer match. I remembered last time, it was Malaysia Cup where I know most of the Singapore team players name…   ” If only I had ten Fandis…. with the skills of V.SundrumooThy…” (those living in the early 80s would know this KopiKatKlan “Why you so like that?” )

So over the weekend, my homeboy CrystalRain bought tickets to the Singapore n Vietnam match. They are playing for Suzuki Cup. (What a weakass name for a cup).

21122008099

And so… its GRANDSTAND ok!! Not those normal seat ok!! Don’t play play!! Its like flying business class when your travelling in a aeroplane.

But grandstand or not grandstand… its the same wooden seats, i sat on 15years ago.

21122008103

So when we reach there…no queues. There scenes were so different 15 years ago… when we had to queue to go in… there were police riot vans, police patrolling here and there, people touting for their underground tickets and all the punters on their mobile and pagers beeping away to get the latest odds…

When I stepped into the stadium…one word just came to my mind “Majestic”

211220081021

It brings back so much memories. I remembered the time when we can smoke inside the stadium and the currypuff Man moving around the crowd to sell. And the crowd seems to be more rowdy and louder

You know you are sitting at the wrong area when……

21122008104

….people around the area you sit speaks in a language that you don’t understand. ” Cong hòa xã hoi cho nghĩa” ???

And most of them start to cheer when the opposing team came out…

eh bro... i think something is not right la

eh bro... i think something is not right la

But then again… we got no choice…the spore corners are quite filled up.

211220081062112200810521122008107

Its a refreshing yet kinda disappointing match…cos as many of you would have heard… singapore lost .

Singapore : 0 Vietnam : 1

But is really a nice experience to have stepped into National Stadium again tho i think it would have been better if we have sat at the spore supporters side and the irritating Uncle wouldnt blabbing about how Vietname deserve to win and how fucked up spore team is because the team is NOT a spore team but a spore selection team. Half of them are not singaporeans.

Actually what he said was quite true in some ways.. but then again… who am i to say anything cos… i have no idea who are the team players now, except for useless ” AH Goo” which is mentioned by crystalrain. Haahaha!!

Thanks dude for inviting us. \m/

To Do list

As the 2008 is coming to an end…i read alot of blogs that reflect how year 2008 has treated them. Whatever or however it has done to you, for you or even by you, it now only serve as memories and life lessons.

photo_060107_002

One thing I’ve learned over all these years, is that no matter what had happened, the past does not make what you are today. Nor what people perceived you as…

Quote from the Mr CrystalRain:

When others see you as “bad”, they do not want you to change, because they want to continue being “right” about you. This allows them to justify how they are treating you.

When other people see you as “good”, they don’t want you to change, because they want to continue being able to “depend” on you. This allows them to justify how they expect you to treat them

Its sounds kinda deep huh… simply just by asking Who am i really? The daily things that you do. I know life is alot more than yourself but ever try and wonder for a moment is this even me? Happiness will come naturally without even u realising it. (this is what I understood by). What works for me doesn’t mean it will for u.

photo_060107_001

So for 2009… these are somethings I hope i will see or able to so call achieve. (i dun like the word achieve). It sounds arrogant to me.

#5 – Being able to have a stable 2nd source of income

#4 – Clear 80% of my debts. (When will we be debt free??)

#3 – Save at least 30% of my money

#2 – Learn a new instrument (percussions or violin)

#1 – Be a happier person. (i’m already happy…just wana be happier no matter what happens)

Tho some of them seems difficult but I have good close friends and a wonderful woman supporting me from behind. I mean… thats what friends n relationship is for rite? Show some love, have some support. ~Tee hee~ Shivers…abit cold suddenly. Hee~

Anyway, since 2009 is coming no matter if you are looking forward to your future plans or shunning the consequences of 2007 doings  that will somehow slaps you in the face in 2008… its no use dreading it… Live it Love it because it loves you too…

To me, anything that has to do with the neck, throat or eye just makes me cringe….Shivers….

Mom!! I can see with pinpoint accuracy now~!

The papers say that,

“The youngsters were only trying to improve their archery skills…..but….”

Yeah right~!! I think some of his team mates don’t like him because of him stealing his girlfriend or somthing. Anyway, the boy survives…apparently the arrow missed the brain by a few centimetres.

Still think its disgusting to look at it. … I mean i dun mind if someone’s tummy is sliced opened  and all the intestine slither out and blood splashes out like tap water. I won’t feel as disgusted as this…

Liberated

The thought of moving out of my comfort zone excites me for now… but i may cringe when the time comes…
Sometimes…ever felt like something inside or another new you trying to rip from inside of your body to come out? Literally like splitting you in half.

52188tacy_w

But you duno whether its something or bad popping out… ok..maybe the picture abit not right.

I feel liberated but yet caged…. maybe should thank me for being a gemini for always being confused to what i say or do or feel. Fickle fuck!!!

East Coast Squatters

This a holiday season for alot of people. Some people will splurge on holiday without thinking twice~ taking their accummalated annual leaves from the whole working year  to just relax at home.

Couch potato;

couch_potato

I am a Tv addict myself. The  best thing that happen after Tv was invented is remote control and CABLE television!!! Singapore TV Media**** offer little choices. Have you watch television on a Sat afternoon and friday nites? Don’t know who will watch those local shows. I realised that there are more and more drama sequels showing on TV nowadays. Is it me or I am just overly sensitive? All those neh neh pok hairdo, high hip pants and purple eye shadow.

ru-hua  Do I make u horny baby…

Anyway, back to the topic  holidays… there is a group of people who would rather do with an “impromtu made believe holiday” mood by pitching up tents. Yes!! Tents!!

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I took a walk down to East Coast Park last Sunday.

07122008028107122008029

They are even found under the bridge. While we were crossing the bridge, I overheard a kid who asked his Mum,

Kid : Why are there people camping under the bridge mum?

Mum: I think they are afraid the rain might come.

Kid: Why don’t they stay at home?

Mum: Cos… Aiya!! Don’t ask so many questions can or not??  I ask them next time ok…

Kid: Orh…(unsatisfied)… :(

But seriously… there is alot by the beach, under the bridge beside the expressway.

07122008033071220080301 they are here…

07122008034...and here…

07122008036and here…

07122008037everywhere…

Seems like  some refugee camp.

rwandan_refugee_camp_in_east_zaireSome refuge camp in zaire

Maybe living in spore have its constraints. There are no good place to find good sceneries, high mountians or water falls. But I am jus wondering what people do there… what they do in the tents? Walking around topless, (i saw man doing that only la) mosquitoes everywhere, hanging their laundry on the branches….

Or simplily just a way to save money and save the Hotel 81 room charges in this current financial crisis. ” So why not just put up a impromptu tent and OOoocchaa Oochaa…..

One of the pit stop~ We have Malaysian TPs clearing the way for us. Guess what, our average speed was 110km/hr to erm….220km/hr. Some of them only. The traffice police was travelling average of 140-150km/hr! Talk about breaking the law, they are joining us on a speed limit breaking spree~

Trip to Segamat

This trip was in 2007 Dec. We went there for durians and a gathering for some bike event. There was abt 300 bikes. Malaysian bikes, singapore bikes.

Dental Fee

I don’t understand why dental fee is always so high and you can’t claim for it. Not only my teeth hurts, my wallet will hurt even more. Especially now when things are not rosy as they were. I have checked out with a neighbourhood dentist, just to do a few root canels and crowning will cost a whoooping 4 figures!! OMG!! I am gonna sent my children to dental school next time! If i ever have any.
